About myself & my blog!

As I start to write this column, I wonder why would anyone want to read it? But accepting that someone has taken time & interest in visiting it, I would first like to thank one & all who pay a visit. Secretly it motivates me to write something that would connect me to all of them. it may not be of immediate use to you but I only wish that what you read will be understood. Please do drop any advice or criticism that would be constructive. I do not promise to be foolproof & hence I ask you of this!

Let me tell you about myself, I’m Dr Radha, a homoeopath by qualification. But I’ve shifted gears & safely landed myself in a place where I’m encountered with medical writing. I’m pursuing MSc in clinical research & regulatory affairs through a distance learning course offered by Sikkim Manipal University.

In my MSc class, we’ve had lectures of all dept. but what caught my attention was Medical writing & Regulatory affairs. Yeah! I’m interested in Regulatory too. Don’t worry, I do not intend open up a new blog for regulatory independently! I mean, to me, both of these topics gave me a sense of challenge to my intellect. But at present, on my job, I’m faced with more of medical writing. Although all the assignments seem to be quite satisfactory (I mean I dint have to prepare a lot of drafts/face immense changes in the content or may be I have a supportive & considerate superior). No! not that easy & loving as it seems, I had to learn to narrow down & focus a lot. But now I wish to do justice to what I write.

Specifically, when I’d complete a ‘draft’, I’d like all the content. Reminds me of my medical school time, I’d be so enthusiastic to put down all I’d find about the topic. And then I’d be instructed that I should try & focus on any one or two to be more informative & just.

I also read a lot, when I would hunt the entire net about the topic & I’d simply surprised looking at the mass of articles. Everyone would have a different way of speaking almost the same matter. But the use of language, vocabulary was impressive to someone afresh as me.

In short, I intend to compile articles, jot down everything that I found of use medical writing & may help you too. And as the headline reads, medical writing sure would be the starter but may be you’ll find more also.

Thank you & have a nice day!
